Innowave Summit has been mentioned in the themes of the World Economic Forum

Varna was set as an example during the World Economic Forum in Davos thanks to the Bulgarian Business Forums and Innowave Summit. It featured in the speech of Commissioner Maria Gabriel to world leaders in politics, business, academia and civil society. "Innowave Summit of Bulgarian Business Forums - one of the most significant high-tech conferences in Southeast Europe, is a unique forum that now has the opportunity, thanks to the twinning memorandum between Varna and Cluj-Napoca, Romania, to bring together more than 5,000 companies and join efforts to ease the access to sources of growth," Gabriel told the audience in the Swiss city of Davos.

Innowave Summit in Varna was presented as an opportunity to improve access to funding for European start-ups and emerging businesses by mobilising private capital and simplifying the rules for accessing it.

Bulgarian Business Forums is among the start-up ecosystems that are members of the European group Coalition of the Willing, formed a day after the publication of the New European Agenda for Innovation, recalled the chairman of the organization Dimitar Vasilev. The Coalition brings together communities and stakeholders committed to the concrete implementation of the Agenda.

It was the New European Agenda for Innovation, #EUInnovationAgenda, that was at the centre of the Bulgarian Commissioner's speech at this year's Davos #WEF23. According to Maria Gabriel, it was "an exceptional opportunity to discuss the importance of investing in education and in building a competitive and sustainable economy and society, the perfect place to promote our #EUInnovationAgenda".
